Lead Quality Control NDT (non destructive tests)

For our Belgian plant we are looking for a Quality Control Lead NDT (non destructive tests).

The Lead QC NDT will lead and coordinate the activities of the QC NDT team under his/her responsibility to ensure that products meet Asco, customer and regulatory requirements. We are looking for a People Manager with good communications and planning skills.

- Safety and 5S (6S)

Ensuring a healthy and ergonomic working environment and organisation, taking into account LEAN management principles

 

- Personnel management

Ensuring that employees have the necessary qualifications to perform their work and ensuring that an adequate level of versatility is guaranteed in collaboration with HR Training and other technical services if necessary.

 

- Planning

Communicate the priorities of the Heat and Surface Treatment departtment, , draw up a schedule with the team to respect these priorities and monitor their implementation to contribute to the objectives

 

- Supervising and performing quality controls 

Supervising and performing the required quality controls within the teams to ensure the conformity of the manufactured products.

 

- Management of non-conformities 

Ensuring that deviations are handled by the various teams in accordance with Asco procedures

 

- Audits 

Organise the team and resources in the event of an audit to ensure support and compliance with internal and customer requirements.

 

Profile, knowledge and experience

Minimum basic training: A2 in mechanics or electromechanics or equivalent experience

Languages: proficiency in French or Dutch + basic knowledge of the second language + proficiency in English

Technical knowledge:

  • Good people Manager, 
  • 3 to 5 years' experience as a quality controller, QA inspector or similar.  Knowledge of NDT is a plus 
  • Skills in reading drawings and specifications (dimensions, tolerance, strength, etc.) within the field of application
  • Thorough knowledge of (the use of) all equipment, installations and measurement and control techniques in the field of application
  • If applicable, knowledge of geometry, dimensions and tolerances (standards, interpretations, etc.)
  • Knowledge of IT: Windows, Office applications (Word, Excel)
  • Team spirit
