For our Belgian plant we are looking for a Special Processes Quality Engineer
Job description :
The Special Processes Quality Engineer monitors quality indicators and performance in related production areas : Surface Treatment, Paint, Heat Treatment, NDT, etc. He/she assures implementation of corrective actions and assures stability and conformity of process controls
Accountabilities
1. Monitor quality indicators and performance
Maintain quality indicators up to date and assure regular reporting and escalation of main quality issues
2. Assure implementation of corrective actions for Special Processes NC (non conformities)
- Coordinate and assure execution of NC Containment on time : Production/Sales/delivery stop if applicable – immediate escalation
- Coordinate and follow-up actions for Non-Conformity Root Cause analysis in Special Processes NCs
- Assure the definition of a corrective action plan within SP & other areas when required and its translation into the change management process
- Confirm effectiveness of corrective actions after completion of the change process in Special Process areas but also in subsequent stages if applicable (e.g. Assy)
- Communication of relevant quality information to all internal stakeholders were required (major quality issues, Process deviations, product impact, etc)
3. Assure stability and conformity of process controls
- Review periodically the laboratory records to assure compliance of results and correct escalation & resolution of deviations
- Identify process parameters’ trends to assure timely prevention of product non-conformities
- Coordinate & document test campaigns to maintain running customer qualifications of laboratory approved capability
Profile Know How and Experience
Education: Technical Bachelor in Chemistry or equivalent through experience
Languages: English, Dutch and French
Skills / Experience:
- Minimum 3 years in an industrial manufacturing environment
- Strong Analytical skills
- Knowledge of laboratory techniques
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes is a plus (surface treatment)
- Broad interpersonal (good oral and written communication) skills
- Able to work autonomously (is not afraid of taking initiatives)
- Team player
- Curious and eager to learn
- Experience with Problem solving techniques
- Audit experience is a plus
- Ability to work under pressure
- Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point (knowledge of CATIA is a plus)
